In 2004, Scott Spener meet Bob Hummer (the original owner of My Painter) thru coaching soccer in Mechanisville, VA.  Quickly Scott and Bob formed a friendship. For the next two years Scott helped Bob manage the sales and marketing of the business. in June 2006, Scott took over the business from Bob when he retired due to some medical complications.
